Privacy policy

Summary

LegenDay is designed to work offline on your Mac. We do not collect sensitive data about you or your video content. This policy describes what happens to the minimal information involved in using the app and buying a license. The marketing website uses Google Analytics to measure page views and clicks on key buttons (such as download and purchase); that site analytics does not include your video, audio, or subtitle files.

Local processing

Transcription, editing, subtitle translation, and export happen on your computer. Your video, audio and subtitle files are not sent to our servers for processing. On-device translation uses Apple Translation; the first time you translate into a language, macOS may download that language pack from Apple. LegenDay does not access, store or analyze your project content in the cloud.

Data we do not collect

License purchase

Payment is processed by Stripe, which receives the data needed to complete the transaction (such as email and payment details). We only receive what is needed to deliver and validate your license: email address and purchase identifiers. We do not store full card numbers.

License verification

To activate or renew a license, the app may connect to the internet and send a technical license identifier and basic device information (such as system version). This does not include the content of your files.

App updates

LegenDay may periodically check for a new version. That check sends only technical metadata (app and system version), without sensitive personal data.

Your rights

Under LGPD (Brazil) and GDPR (European Union), you may request access, correction or deletion of personal data we hold about your purchase. Since we do not process your videos, there is no media content to delete on our side.
